Each year, PPFMag compiles a list of the paint protection film (PPF) market’s top dealers by revenue. A greater expanded version of this will be in our upcoming Summer PPF issue, but as a preview, here are the top 5 PPF dealers in the United States. Revenue is based on estimates from KMResearch.

Revenue: $4.2 million in PPF
Felony Film was sold and wrapped into another business at the beginning of this year, but it didn’t have much of an online presence to start. Former company owner Tim Ham worked exclusively with car dealerships as his business model and did not market his company much to the public at large.
The company’s main focus was Porsche dealerships as he says the cars are easier to do in high volumes.
2. Protective Film Solutions, Santa Ana, California

Revenue: $3.8 million in PPF
Protective Film Solutions has multiple locations. Owned by Ryan Tounsley, the company has found success in highly competitive markets. The company has been a six-time XPEL Dealer of the Year.
In addition to installing PPF, the company also puts out regular car transformation videos. Here’s one of them wrapping a BMW E46 M3 racecar.
3. Eclipse Window Tinting, Cincinnati, Ohio

Eclipse, owned by Rick Puthoff, was recently named one of XPEL’s Dealers of the Year.
Located between major highways that feed into the Cincinnati urban core, the company has a 4.9-star average rating on Google Reviews with more than 1,500 of them. Despite such a high revenue number, Eclipse is closed on weekends.
4. Sun Stoppers, Charlotte, North Carolina (corporate stores only)

Revenue: $1.8 million in PPF
Owned by former Window Film magazine columnist and recent Window Film Hall of Fame inductee Mike Burke, this several-location business has been a consistent top-ranker on this list, and this ranking comes from their Charlotte, North Carolina location.
Sunstoppers reports having more than 50 locations spread mostly throughout North Carolina and surrounding states.
5. Protective Solutions, Holliston, Massachusetts

Revenue: Estimated around $2 million* (based on past Top Dealer submissions)
This XPEL-exclusive dealership was previously owned by Chris Diminico, who is now the director of product at XPEL. The company does PPF, ceramic coatings, tint and wraps and gets a large portion of its business from car dealerships.
